Example Answer
There is no question that in recent years there’s been an increase in travel world-wide. There are two factors which have greatly contributed to this: the rise of international business and mass media. In particular, the media has been largely responsible for this trend and this essay will explore the reasons for this.
The increase in international trade and global partnerships has undoubtedly had an impact on the level of travel abroad. As more and more businesses work together, there’s a need for its employees to go overseas and connect in person. However, while this has contributed noticeably to the overall increase in global travel, it can be argued that the media has in fact played a larger role.
Thanks to mass media, such as television, films, advertising, and social media, more and more people have been exposed to the wonders of the world. They have been introduced to the many exotic locations existing globally and, as a result, more people now than ever are inspired to travel to said destinations. Furthermore, this trend impacts not only everyday people, but also businesses as well, as the media also influence the entire travel industry which caters to this shift. Therefore, it’s safe to say that the media has made the hugest impact on the increase in global travel.
In conclusion, while both international business and media have contributed to the rise in international travel, it’s no question that the media has had a huger impact on this trend.
